Welcome!

Thanks for taking the time to visit the Twin Peaks Rotary Club website.

Twin Peaks Rotary has an exciting year planned as we work together sharing the Rotary International Theme of “The Future of Rotary is in your Hands.” In it’s 105 year history Rotary has always been about “Service above Self.” Yes, Rotary is about hands working together to better our community. Our club is a wonderful cross section of our community. Our club is at it’s best when we join hands in various projects. Last year through fundraising endeavors we raised over $25,000. Our club meets every Thursday at noon at First Lutheran Church in Longmont. One of our goals is to grow during the coming year as we add members of the community who want to be a part of a service organization that is active and vibrant.

Rotary has been a very important player in eradicating polio throughout the world. This endeavor began in 1986 and today we have ended polio throughout the world except in four countries. With the generosity of the Bill Gates Foundation we are hopeful to bring an end to this dreaded disease in our lifetime. This year one of our efforts will be to involve the community in this campaign to end polio now.

Twin Peaks Rotary has a very rich history through twenty five years of existence, we strife to continually improve. This year we hope to complete a visioning process for our club that will give us direction for the next three to five years. This will take hands working together remembering that our future is in all of our hands.

While it is a honor and a privilege to lead this club through the coming year, it is also very humbling. What we will accomplish will happen through the work of many hands, many efforts and a great deal of hard work. We will continue to be involved in numerous service projects, fundraising events, and opportunities for fellowship. We will continue to recognize service above self in our community through Student of the Month and the Above and Beyond Awards. Rotary International President John Kenny has encouraged all clubs to lift up high standards of ethics as we function in our communities. Our club will strife towards that end in the coming year. Yes, the future of Rotary and this club will be in the hands of those who take seriously the theme. “The Future of Rotary is in your Hands.”
