A message from President Eric Kittelberger

Welcome!
Thanks for taking the time to visit the Twin Peaks Rotary Club website. Serving as President of this club is one of the highest honors I’ve ever been afforded. Whether the club felt I was a good choice, or just the best they could come up with, remains unclear. In any event, I’m truly excited about leading the club over the next year.
The Twin Peaks Rotary Club started in 1984 when a dedicated group of Rotarians from the Longmont Rotary Club decided to start their own club. Since then, our club has steadily grown to where we now have over 70 members and are involved in a variety of causes. We’re very proud of our accomplishments, which include providing college scholarships to worthy local students, funding for school construction in Nicaragua, providing reading materials and dictionaries to local schools, the Holiday Gift Tree program, and many other excellent endeavors. It’s not a stretch to say that our club has an affinity for helping the youth of this community and throughout the world.
Our fundraising events have been very popular, and are improving every year. We are having our 2nd annual wine and cheese tasting event on Saturday, July 12. Then, just three weeks later, please join us for our annual Chuckwagon Breakfast on Saturday, August 2, 2008. All net proceeds will go towards funding college scholarships to local high school seniors attending Colorado colleges and universities in the fall of 2009. Our 2nd annual Twin Peaks Rotary Cross Country Challenge will take place November 1 at Rogers Grove. Stay tuned for announcements on some fundraising projects that are slated for the winter and spring months. All of the funds that are raised go to worthy causes. Some of the money raised goes to local causes, some to support international aid efforts. Whatever the cause, we are passionate about what we’re doing and the reasons we do it.
It’s important to note that we’re not all work and no play. We enjoy ourselves in whatever we do. From “mystery” socials to tailgates to happy hour fellowship events, we’re serious about not being too serious.
We meet every Thursday at Noon at the First Lutheran Church fellowship hall at 3rd Avenue and Pratt St. We would love it for you to join us and find out what Rotary is all about. |
